This ProModule provides SongShow Plus access to the SongSelect 2.1 database.

IMPORTANT NOTE
SongSelect 2.1 has been discontinued by CCLI as a product.  This ProModule will only be of use to you if you presently have a licensed copy of SongSelect 2.1.

Configuration
Before the SongSelect� 2.1 add-on can be used, you will need to tell it where to find the SongSelect� 2.1 database.  This can be changed at a later time if necessary.  To change this setting: From the Start menu, Select� SongShow Plus� > Utilities, then click the Song Database Sources button.  This will open the window that will let you test and configure the SongSelect� 2.1 ProModule.

Limited Technical Support
SongSelect 2.1 has essentially been discontinued by CCLI.  Because of this, SongShow Plus technical support personnel do not have access to this application which means that the technical support provided for use of SongSelect 2.1 with SongShow Plus will be limited.

• When using the Backup/Restore Utility, you will now be alerted if you attempt to use the "Overwrite if newer" option for a restore process.  This is because SongSelect 2.1 does not support this feature.
• A new utility has been added that lets you remove all SongShow Plus specific data fields from the SongSelect database.  This can be used if you plan to discontinue use of SongShow Plus with SongSelect.

Embedded Data Fields
Note: SongShow Plus� supports several fields that SongSelect� does not, such as Verses 7, 8, Choruses 2-4, Bridges 1-3, and an Ending.  These additional fields, if used, are stored in the Chorus field.

There are also additional fields used by SongShow Plus�.  These are stored in the Memo field and are enclosed by [SongShowPlus�] and [/SongShowPlus�] tags.  It is important not to change the contents of these fields.

Utilities
The SongSelect� 2.1 Add-on Module provides the following utilities which can be run from the SongShow Plus� Tools menu.

• Rebuild Indexes:  This utility will rebuild the SongSelect� indexes, which may be necessary if you notice that some songs don't show up even though you have added them or placed them on the ShortList.
• Run SongSelect�.  This lets you run SongSelect� from within SongShow Plus�.

Limitations
SongSelect� 2.1 has the following limitations which hinder its use in SongShow Plus�: 1) It is not possible to search for songs alphabetically unless an additional criterion is also Select�ed like a theme or ShortList.  2) It is not possible to get a list of all songs using SongSelect� 2.1.

These limitations have been removed with SongSelect� 3.0.

ShortList Problem
There is a documented problem that some have experienced when adding songs to the SongShow Plus� shortlist while using SongSelect� 2.1.  This problem exists within SongSelect� itself and does seem to be fixed with SongSelect� 3.0.
