User Database ProModule
User Database ProModule
Updated 12/27/2002
This ProModule provides a way for SongShow Plus to use
Microsoft Access for its song database format. The database structure is
documented and accessible by tools like VB, VBA, MS Access, or any development
tool that can access an MDB file. Documentation for the MDB structure is
contained within the MDB file. The MDB files for this ProModule were built
using Microsoft Access 2000.
Because MDB files can be accessed and modified easily by
scripting languages and other development tools, use of this ProModule is
especially beneficial if you have the need to import song text data from another
source, and you have the knowledge and programming skills to create an import
routine that will copy the song data from a particular source into a User
Database MDB file.
Another feature of this ProModule is that it provides capability for
you to have two or more databases that are completely independent of each
other. This can be handy in cases where you may want to completely
isolate song databases used by different departments within your church, or even
those cases where more than one church organization is sharing the same
facility.
Limited Technical Support
The SongShow Plus technical support team can provide you
with help in using the User Database ProModule from within SongShow Plus.
However, no technical support is offered at this time in using the User Database
MDB files with Microsoft Access or any other application development tool.
